Workshop at tranzit sk / HELD collective

✧ When? June 10, 2026 at 6:00 PM

✧ Where? tranzitsk, Beskydská 12, Bratislava

✧ Capacity: 15 participants

The workshop what's hot? loosely follows on from the previous performance by the HELD collective and develops its theme through a collective artistic process. It works with the narrative of gossip and personal input as a way of sharing experiences. The workshop will focus on creating your own tabloid magazine cover which will contain a selection of personal or world events viewed through the participant's lens, internal or external conflicts, fantasies, affects or experiences of participation. It will become a space where fiction, self-presentation, vulnerability, and irony can mix.

The workshop will provide a safe space for experimentation with image, text, and information. Its aim is to explore the relationships that arise in the space of gossip - to look at the mechanisms of shame, control, desire, and solidarity and how they are transmitted through language, images, and everyday communication. Through drawing, text, lines, and visual signs, groups and individuals will create “headlines” representing fictional or real situations, creating a visual archive of relationships and affects associated with gossip.

The number of places is limited. Registration is by e-mail at studyroom.tranzit@gmail.com

✧ What happens when a group of women create a group chat on Instagram?
HELD is an art-theoretical collective formed out of friendship, shared experience and the need to articulate our own position. We grew up on the peripheries of Slovakia marked by economic deprivation, in the reality of gender inequalities and constant questioning of identity. We share care as a process, strategy and practice. We connect the personal with the political, women's experience with collective resistance. We create without pressure, without burnout, without obedience.
