Fabiola Fiocco is a Rome-based curator and researcher with a Ph.D. from the University of Edinburgh. Her work focuses on the representation of (post-)work, infrastructural critique, and feminist epistemologies. She has collaborated with institutions and universities, such as the Van Abbemuseum, tranzit.ro, CASTRO Projects and Iceland University of the Arts, while also developing independent curatorial projects. Her writing has appeared in publications like Flash Art Italia, NERO editions, and Field Journal.
Transnational artistic networks have spent more than a decade elaborating ecosystemic models of collaboration for distributing resources, reimagining governance, and reconfiguring the geographies and infrastructure of art production. Compounding political, economic, and geopolitical pressures have made this work both more urgent and precarious, exposing the limits of inherited organisational models, including those that positioned themselves as radical or progressive alternatives.
Structured as a morning workshop and an afternoon collective reading, both open to practitioners working in collective configurations across and beyond the art field, the sessions create a space to examine institutional positions and speculate on ecosystemic forms of solidarity and interdependence in practice. Through drawing, mapping, and discussion, participants will render visible the structures and relations that often remain unquestioned, opening them to collective reflection. The reading extends this process through a shared selection of texts, including materials brought by participants.
