tranzit sk // STUDY ROOM // OPEN CALL

Tranzit sk‘s Study Room, a platform for mutual learning, opens space for your projects!

☆ OPEN CALL ☆

Education is not a fixed structure, but a body of diverse threads that intertwine and change shape. Pathways to knowledge are opening up, transforming, and challenging established frameworks to find new ways of seeing and understanding. Pedagogy speaks here not only through words, but through movement, touch, and the interrelationship between theory and practice. Communities are born in both autonomy and connection, where knowledges grow like living roots - not on command, but in dialogue and trust.

• Tranzit sk‘s Study Room, a platform for mutual learning, opens space for your projects! •

As a research-based art organization, we see the Study Room as central both to our space and programming. It is a repository as well as a germinator of knowledges, which we’d like to open up for wider participation. We envision the Study Room as an organically growing platform for mutual learning, understood as an open, yet situated, convivial and collective process, and which acknowledges pedagogy as inherently political.

We are looking for projects mainly in the realm of (urban) ecology, feminist and collective practices, minority representation, activism and alternative pedagogy. We value diverse formats of mutual learning and knowledge sharing from conversations, workshops, peer learning, collective readings, storytelling, collaborative writing to performative / participatory activities and unorthodox methodologies.

Who can apply?

The call is open for individuals, groups, and organizations with projects to be hosted by and / or collaboratively developed with tranzit sk. We particularly encourage the participation of students, student collectives, and those at the beginning of their careers.

Deadline: September 15, 2025

While the call remains open throughout the year, proposals received by the above deadline will be given priority for planning purposes.

Please send your concept and a short bio (in a Word docx.) to studyroom.tranzit@gmail.com

Bilingual (Slovak – English) proposals are welcome but not mandatory.

The tranzit sk team will carefully go through your proposal and make a pre-selection based on our values, capacities, and the projects’ feasibility. After that phase, participants will be invited to a discussion with the tranzit team.

What we provide:

• a safe space and a welcoming team
• a curated, expanding library
• technical equipment
• organization and PR support
• a small budget / co-financing according to the project’s needs, feasibility and tranzit’s possibilities
