FRANZ POMASSL is Austrian experimental sound-artist, co-founder of label LATON and recently CLUB RUS in Vienna. Lives in Vienna. Pomassl operates at the borders of the human auditive perceptional system, working on its expansion. He surpasses the given auditive parameters of technical equipment and explores possible limitations of acoustic perception by denying them. This permanent confrontation between the logos of the machine and human intuition underlies many of his projects. He produced compilations of his work for labels such as Laton, Sabotage, Craft, PPlate Lunch, Rough Trade or Discono. Other artistic activities include: DJ-sets and live-acts in Europe and Japan and the participation in international festivals and exhibitions such as Ars Electronica, Steirischer Herbst, PhonoTAKTIK; Construction Sounds, Vienna (with Kodwo Eshun), Frequeces, Portal, Manifesta 2...

PHILIPP QUEHENBERGER was born in Innsbruck in 1977, grew up in Tirol, Seattle (US) and Newcastle (GB). He discoverd his love for electronic music in the „his fathers“ studio and started playing the piano and fooling around with synthesizers. Played in local bands of various styles, ranging from Death-Metal to Rock. In 1994 he started performing alone, abusing his collection of toy instruments and wearing strange costumes. At the same time, the “Original Devil Duo“ with singer Otto “Horror“ Horrwatt and the first release appeared. After moving to Vienna Philipp Quehenberger kept his head above water with piano lessons, his old-fashioned equipment didn‘t keep him from recording a great album for Cheap Records.

Lapsus Kolektiv, consisting of the DJ-trio Dr.Godo, dj.Mugs and dj Khai aka Lawless, taking quality deep-house primarily as their hobby and entertainment. Their performances are typical for the dirty disco sound, eclectic groove, their striking bass-line and suitable placed vocals. Their performances or "sets" of the Lapsus Kolektiv feature always a story and they bring the audience from the slower minimal rhythms via vocal passages, Latino rhythms up to an almost tech-house finale.
Apart from regular resident nights, the Lapsus Kolektiv is often invited to mass parties of several thousand participants. In Bratislava, they performed several times at the largest dance music festivity of Slovakia, the BeeFree (with a regular attendance of more than 10 thousand people), they performed at the most popular Booomerang rave party and their biggest success so far is has been the Disco TV party. In the big event co-organised by MTV Europe in September 2003, attracting 15.000 people to Bratislava, Lapsus Kolektiv rendered a 3-hours DJ performance, on the stage with the world`s top stars of house music as Johnny Fiasco or Bobby Pharelle.
Lapsus Kolektiv regularly spices its DJ sets with live performances of artists. Saxophone, percussions, electric guitar or vocals suitably round up their dynamic house sound.
